About Lauria.

A trained horticulturalist with 14 years in the business, there’s not much about plants that Lauria Budd doesn’t know!

A Wagga girl, Lauria discovered her creative side at 17, becoming a florist and learning the way of flowers. Her love of all things green outdoors led her to study horticulture while she worked in plant retail. On qualifying, she soon landed work with reputable garden landscape companies maintaining high-end residential gardens, including for Baz Luhrman, Carol and John Laws, Del Barton, and Linda Penn.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience behind her, Lauria started her own business, Lotus Budd. Since then she has flourished, and moved to the far south coast of NSW, where she is keen to share her knowledge and experience with her community.

“Lauria is a true garden whisperer.”

— Frances

Her Approach.

Lauria takes a holistic approach to gardening and is a firm believer in the benefits of nature for humans.

No matter their size, gardens can be rich, unlimited, safe spaces that give back much more than you put in. Even a courtyard or balcony garden can still be beautiful, productive and life-affirming.

Lauria works with nature - planting for your site and climate, and the movement of sun and water. She aims to improve soil, conserve water and reduce chemicals. She puts plants together for their beauty, and to reduce pests and disease, and attract beneficial insects.

Lauria’s gardening approach is partly intuition, partly eye for design, and partly years of practical experience and training. She’d love to bring her skills to your garden!
